Support Analysts

    We are seeking Support Analysts with experience in Customer Information / Billing System in the deregulated energy sector.

The Support Analysts are able to:

  • Provide Technical Support with CIS / Billing Solution
  • Listen carefully to clients and colleagues, understand what is being asked for and then use various techniques to provide a conclusion solution
  • Check the work thoroughly, knowing users will depend on being correct
  • Work within the agreed standards, procedures, priorities and timescale
  • Work in tight deadlines and shifting priorities (continued to be organized and methodical)
  • Concentrate on detailed tasks
  • Communicate with customers using non-technical language
  • Provide necessary training
  • Communicate with IT Team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree;
  • 3+ years experience Retail Energy Operations, Customer Information and Billing Systems and Transaction Processing
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Experience in using SQL Tools
  • Experience in EDI transaction sets

Software Engineer

    The position ensures that systems are designed, developed and maintained in support of SIGMA Customer Care & Billing System while achieving high availability and business effectiveness.

Scope of this position includes:

  • Provide support in software change and release management
  • Provide support in database administration
  • Design, develop, implement, integrate and build interfaces to meet business needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering ¬†or in a related field along with 60 months of experience.
  • Must be familiar with SQL Server database administration, database queries.
  • Linux Shell Scripting
  • Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML and handling files (text, csv, pdf, etc)
  • Knowledge of regulated and deregulated energy billing concepts is an added advantage
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites for extended periods of time.

Database Administrator – 1

    Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envision system features and functionality.

Scope of this position includes:

  • Design and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development life cycle
  • Determine design methodologies and tool sets, programming languages and software products.
  • Design and conduct tests.
  • Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
  • Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, study and establish connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
  • Create multimedia applications by using authoring tools.
  • Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings, troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field and 36 months of experience.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use JAVA, Apache Tomcat, JSP, XML, HTML and SQL Server.

Database Administrator – 2

    The position of Database Administrator requires the incumbent to analyze a client’s IT environment and then develop or assist in the development of a software product to enhance productivity.

Scope of this position includes:

  • Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security.
  • Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front end users.
  • Maintain and administrate databases; Data tuning.
  • Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS controlling access permissions and privileges.
  • Backup/Recovery/Archiving Log shipping and Archive Logging Database Mirroring.
  • Building datamart data exports and imports from various inputs.
  • Maintaining data standards, including procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).
  • Developing, managing back-up and recovery plans.
  • Working closely, regularly with technical and operational staff to insure database integrity and security.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have at least a Master’s degree in Computer Applications or in a related field and 12 months of experience.
  • In lieu of a Master’s degree, will accept any combination of education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites for extended periods of time.
  • Must have completed coursework in: Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Computer Architecture, Computer Communication and Networks.
  • Must be able to use: JAVA, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and UNIX.
